Neither Easton's nor Wilson's chart lists a size for a catcher's mitt, so we do not give one. Check the size printed on the model's own page and ask the coach.
How to pick a glove size, in 3 steps
Pick age and position
Use the finder. Position matters as much as age: both makers list bigger gloves for the outfield.
Compare with the size on the glove
Glove sizes are in inches. Check the size on the model's page against the range, and note where the two makers differ.
Do the squeeze test
Wilson's test: if the player can easily squeeze the glove closed, it should work. If not, try a smaller size.

Frequently asked questions
What size baseball glove does a 7-year-old need?
Easton lists 10.25 to 11.5 inches for a 7-year-old infielder and 11.5 to 12.25 inches for an outfielder. Wilson lists 10 to 10.5 inches for ages 6 to 7 at any position. The finder shows where they overlap.
Does position change the glove size?
Yes. Both makers list larger gloves for outfield than for infield at the same age. Easton also lists first base, and Wilson lists pitcher and a utility size.
What size is a tee ball glove?
Easton lists 8.5 to 10 inches for ages 3 to 6. Wilson lists 9 to 10 inches for 5 and under and 10 to 10.5 inches for ages 6 to 7.
How do I know the glove is not too big?
Wilson's test: if a player can easily squeeze the glove closed, they should be able to use it. If a player struggles to close it, try a smaller glove.
What about a catcher's mitt?
Neither Easton's nor Wilson's chart lists a catcher's mitt size, so the tool does not give one. Check the size on the model's own page and ask the coach.
Where do youth sizes end?
Easton calls ages 7 to 12 youth and 12 and up adult. Wilson calls ages 8 to 12 youth and 13 and up adult. At 12 and 13 either size may fit, so use the squeeze test.
Do the two makers always agree?
No. For ages 8 to 10 at infield, Easton lists 10.25 to 11.5 inches and Wilson lists 10.75 to 11.5 inches. We show the overlap when there is one and the span when there is not.
Is this chart for softball?
No, this page is for baseball gloves. Easton and Wilson publish separate fastpitch and slowpitch glove charts.
